OVERVIEW
Event promotion for UCO Design's Design Homework Night. Hosted by UCO's AIGA student design group, Design Homework Night is a night where design students can get together, receive feedback from peers, and work on projects together without any teachers present.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity was presented to me through UCO Design's working design studio, InkTank. The project entailed designing event branding for the first homework night of the semester. My InkTank classmates and I all designed solutions for the event, and our teacher then selected the design solution to be used for the event.
THE SOLUTION
For UCO's AIGA Design Homework Night, themed "Break the Cycle," I drew inspiration from insects' transformative nature. I focused on conveying the idea of new beginnings, mirroring how insects emerge from cocoons or shed old skin in the case of cicadas. My designs capture this metamorphosis—breaking free from the past to embrace growth and new possibilities.
